AMM Archery – Second Training Mission in China
For the second time, Anna Sokólska and Michał Sanczenko are conducting training and sport-related activities in China, continuing the development of international cooperation in horseback archery.
The base of our work is Alibow Riders – a club and stable where we deliver workshops, training sessions, and individual coaching for local archers.
Cooperation with Alibow
Our activities in China are closely connected with our long-term cooperation with Alibow, a manufacturer of traditional bows.
Alibow:
– produces equipment used in training and competition,
– is a long-term equipment partner,
– has supported our events in previous years and is also a sponsor of #IMAG2026.
👉 Those interested in ordering equipment can do so through us – we assist with model selection and logistics:

5 Days of Intensive Workshops
During this visit, we conducted 5 days of horseback archery workshops for a group of nearly 20 participants.
The group included archers from different regions of China, with a significant number coming from Hong Kong.
The training focused on:
– shooting technique from horseback,
– consistency and control,
– competition preparation,
– individual technical corrections.
Individual Training and Equipment Testing
In addition to group workshops, we also provided:
– individual training sessions for Alibow Riders members,
– testing of new bow and quiver models.
This is an important part of our work – testing equipment in real training conditions and providing direct feedback to the manufacturer.
Hunt Track – First Time in China
A key part of this mission was supporting the preparation of the Hunt Track competition.
This format is based on the concept of the Polish Track, developed within our community.
👉 It will be introduced in China for the first time.
Our role included:
– technical consultation,
– track setup and configuration,
– adaptation to local conditions,
– preparation of athletes for this competition format.
Personal Training
During the stay, Anna and Michał are also training, working with local horses, testing their capabilities, and adapting to the conditions in which the upcoming competition will take place.
Competition – April 17–19
The next step will be a national competition Yangtze Delta Open Tournament, scheduled for April 17–19, with participation of over 40 athletes from across China (and Poland 🙂 ).
Both Anna Sokólska and Michał Sanczenko will take part in the competition.
Summary
This mission represents another step in building long-term international cooperation.
It is not a one-time visit, but part of an ongoing process:
– training and education,
– athlete development,
– equipment testing,
– introduction of new competition formats,
– active participation in competitions.
Polish horseback archery experience is becoming increasingly present outside Europe – through real work, not just declarations.
